Job Title: Operating Room Surgical Aide

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Surgical Aide to join our team. As an integral part of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment in which quality patient care is delivered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport patients to and from the Operating Room and other locations
  • Assist nursing staff in the rooms with patient care, including positioning and transfer of anesthetized patients
  • Support limbs during a surgical skin prep
  • Perform a shave prep of the patient prior to surgery, according to established guidelines
  • Deliver specimens and blood products to and from the Laboratory and Radiology
  • Maintain inventory levels of specified stock items in the Operating Room
  • Prepare stretchers and oxygen tanks to ensure they are ready and available when needed for patient transport
Requirements:
  • CPR training required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
