Full-time Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center. As a key member of our ambulatory clinic, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct care to oncology patients in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Conduct thorough patient histories and physical exams, and communicate findings with the healthcare team.
- Apply advanced practice knowledge to identify and address complex patient care issues.
- Manage patient care plans, including ordering and coordinating specialized procedures.
- Collaborate with unit staff and physicians to facilitate comprehensive care and coordinate resources.
- Write orders in accordance with current guidelines and hospital regulations.
- Provide consultation and education to nurses and physicians on clinical topics.
- Participate in the development of educational programs for nursing and support staff.
- Monitor patient outcomes and collaborate with the healthcare team to implement changes in practice and healthcare delivery.
- Support research efforts to advance knowledge and promote research-based practice.
- Demonstrated competence in the care of adult hematology/oncology patients.
- Effective communication and education skills to convey complex medical information to patients and their families.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to analyze and solve clinical and operational problems.
- EPIC In-basket management and telemedicine experience preferred.
- Masters Degree in Nursing or PA program required, with current licensure in Massachusetts as a certified NP/PA.
- At least 3 years of experience as an APP in oncology, with solid tumor experience preferred.
