Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Lead Housekeeper to join our team at Potawatomi Federal Solutions. As a Shift Lead Housekeeper, you will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight to the housekeeping staff, ensuring the highest level of cleanliness and efficiency in our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain exam rooms, offices, bathrooms, and public areas, including dusting, floor cleaning, and washing windows/mirrors
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of common areas, hallways, corridors, floors, elevators, and stairwells
  • Perform terminal cleaning of exam rooms, including disinfecting surfaces, fixtures, and equipment
  • Restock restroom supplies and other consumables
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, residents, and healthcare staff
  • Respond to emergencies related to cleaning the hospital environment
  • Strip, scrub, seal, and wax floors
  • Empty, sanitize, and reline trash containers
  • Dust furniture and equipment
  • Operate various types of cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners and washing machines
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • At least one (1) year experience in hospital housekeeping services within the last three (3) years
  • Ability to pass background checks by various Federal Agencies
  • Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must pass a pre-employment background test
Preferred Qualifications
  • Possess one or more of the following: Certified member of the International Executive Housekeeper's Association (IEHA), Current member of the American Society for Healthcare Environmental Services of the American Hospital Association, Successfully completed a publicly offered housekeeper's course certified by the IEHA, or Successful completion of a comparable formal Executive Housekeeper's Course emphasizing hospital disinfection and independently controlled by an in-service management training program
  • OSHA 10 Training Certificate
  • OSHA 30 Training Certificate
  • Proficiency in languages other than English, especially Spanish
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Working Environment

Work is typically performed in an indoor environment, in a medical/clinic setting. The typical workweek may require some long days to meet periodic upturns in business demands or meet deadlines.

The employee may be required to stand for long periods of time with frequent reaching, sitting, walking, twisting, stooping, bending, kneeling, and squatting. Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs., push/pull up to 50 lbs.
