Position Summary:
The Senior Structural Engineer will play a pivotal role in our engineering team, contributing to high-stakes projects that require innovative solutions and technical expertise. This position demands a thorough understanding of structural engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively across various disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site evaluations and generate detailed sketches to support conceptual design efforts.
- Prepare and validate structural calculations, utilizing both manual methods and software tools.
- Develop creative and effective solutions that adhere to industry standards and best practices.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert, providing guidance and support to project teams.
- Foster collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Create and assess equipment specifications, evaluate proposals, and recommend contract awards.
- Navigate complex technical challenges with minimal supervision, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
- Support field operations by assessing site conditions and providing technical insights.
- Lead project teams, coordinating efforts to achieve project objectives.
- Mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Ensure all work is executed in accordance with applicable laws, codes, and company policies.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in an ABET-accredited engineering program is required, with a focus on Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering.
- For Architects, certification from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) or a Professional Engineer license is acceptable.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, showcasing advanced technical skills and cross-disciplinary knowledge.
- Proficiency in interpreting applicable codes and standards.
- A valid Professional Structural Engineer license is mandatory.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software and CAD applications is essential.
- A valid driver's license is required.

Work Environment:
This position is primarily based at a secure national facility, with a standard work schedule of four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday.
