About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our Behavioral Health team at Baptist Health Care. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient status through interviews, chart reviews, and physical examinations to determine diagnosis and therapeutic plans.
  • Order and perform laboratory diagnostic tests, interpret results, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
  • Prescribe and dispense medications, provide education to patients, and counsel on health maintenance and emotional problems.
  • Participate in peer reviews, chart reviews, and staff education to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with physicians to manage acute and long-term medical needs of patients and provide continuity of care.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing required.
  • 2 years of experience as a psychiatric APRN required.
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida required.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
  • Adult Psychiatric-Mental Health NP certification required.
