Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing light maintenance repairs and cleaning tasks in a safe and professional manner. You will work under supervision to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.

Responsibilities
  • Perform light maintenance repairs and cleaning tasks as assigned
  • Work in patient/resident care areas and keep tools out of reach of children
  • Use hand tools, meters, measuring devices, and gauges to troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Explain conditions and situations accurately while troubleshooting
  • Work all shifts and hours as scheduled
  • Comply with all corporate and facility policies and dress code
  • Understand written and verbal communications
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes, specifications, and ordinances
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in all types of building maintenance preferred
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record may be required
  • CPR/BLS certification may be required
