Job Overview:

This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Diagnostic Radiology, CT, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and/or Ultrasound services within the hospital and/or ambulatory environments.

The Imaging Supervisor is accountable for ensuring high-quality services and providing support to patients, physicians, families, and other departments.

This is achieved by maintaining appropriate staffing levels, ensuring equipment is in good operating condition, and providing necessary supplies to perform procedures or exams.

The supervisor provides direct supervision of staff, offers timely feedback, and evaluates staff performance. They work closely with radiologists/physicians to provide services and care.

This position is also responsible for implementing policies and procedures and monitoring adherence to state, federal, and accrediting agencies' regulatory requirements.

The Imaging Supervisor reports to the Imaging Manager and collaborates with them to achieve high-quality outcomes, adhere to operating budgets, ensure safe patient care, and oversee team members.


Job Responsibilities:
  • Effectively manage the team to ensure efficient and high-quality services.
  • Monitor productivity and adjust the team to meet changing departmental needs.
  • Monitor workflow and patient scheduling for maximum efficiency.
  • Manage team performance through periodic and timely coaching, feedback, and performance counseling as necessary.
  • Interview and hire qualified individuals for open positions.
  • Educate the team on policies and procedures for areas of responsibility.
  • Understand and adhere to licensing, accrediting, and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Maintain quality controls, policy and procedure records, and service records required by ACR, HIPAA, JCAHO, MQSA, OSHA, and ODH.
  • Provide clinical services or support during high demand or short staffing.
  • Arrange in-services for new equipment and procedures and ensure team members are up-to-date on their training.
  • Support and model the TriHealth Way of Leading standards.
