Job Overview:
As a Process Engineer, you will engage directly on the production floor as a vital member of the tuning team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain tools and equipment.
- Replenish materials and manage offloading profiles.
- Conduct quality inspections and suggest process parameter modifications.
- Analyze the tuning process and optimize pultrusion tooling configurations.
- Utilize AutoCAD for creating and updating technical drawings, including performing tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Leverage SolidWorks for reviewing existing 3D models and developing poka-yoke and tooling designs.
Collaboration:
- Develop and revise tool-specific specifications in partnership with the tooling department.
- Oversee tool modifications, track progress, and verify completed work through precise measurements.
Product Development:
- Participate in drafting innovative window and door products, particularly focusing on fiberglass linears.
- Engage in new product launches and engineering tasks, dedicating approximately 10-20% of your time to design modifications in AutoCAD and 3D modeling in SolidWorks.
Documentation and Teamwork:
- Manage document control and collaborate with the marketing team on technical drawings for promotional materials.
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in a production environment with a focus on process enhancement.
- Strong capabilities in Root Cause Analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Soft Skills:
- Action-oriented with a proactive approach to challenges.
Work Environment:
This position is fully on-site and part of the New Product Management team, providing exposure to both office and manufacturing settings. You will report directly to the manager and collaborate closely with two support drafters.
