Job Opportunity

Capitol Debate is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Speaking and Debate Coach to join our team as a Summer Camp Senior Instructor. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and guidance to students in our summer camps.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging and effective curriculum to students in our summer camps.
  • Guide and support students in researching, writing, and presenting their speeches and presentations.
  • Assist in judging student competitions and facilitating the student showcase.
  • Run classes and deliver lectures to students.
  • Support other instructors and camp counselors in ensuring a smooth and successful camp experience.
  • Judge practice debates, student presentations, and camp competitions.
  • Participate in pre-camp training and curriculum development.
  • Attend staff meetings and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in coaching competitive public speaking and debate.
  • Classroom experience in 6-12th grade school or college level.
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
  • Fully vaccinated.
  • Experience working in youth-based programs preferred.
