As a Department Supervisor, you will play a key role in assisting the Director Manager in overseeing the day-to-day activities of the department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in facilitating, coordinating, and evaluating unit activities to ensure the provision of quality patient care.
  • Serve as a mentor and team lead for the staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience:
  • Valid AL RN license required.
  • Associates Degree in Nursing and four (4) years of Staff Nurse experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing and two (2) years of Staff Nurse experience in the department is preferred.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Trauma ED standards of care practices and procedures.
  • Organizational skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to show initiative and leadership in patient care.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, guests, and coworkers, and coordinate the activities of those supervised.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) License with the Alabama Board of Nursing.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within six months in position.
