Job Title: Project Engineer

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and track job schedules, communicating with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion.
  • Accurately price and process changes or proposed changes, ensuring compliance with contract documents and quality standards.
  • Obtain and submit As-Built drawings, guarantees, warranties, and required operating instructions.
  • Ensure that plans and specifications are issued to subcontractors and vendors, and that contractor jobsite plans and specifications are current.
  • Prepare invitations to bid for complex trades, and assist the Project Manager in cost control and procurement of goods and services.
  • Resolves punch-list issues and assists the Superintendent with facilitating RFI's and missing contract documents.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field of study.
  • 2+ years of commercial construction experience at a General Contractor.
  • Prior experience with public works projects, preferably on projects in the $50+ MIL range.
  • Solid understanding of construction equipment and techniques, drawings, and specifications, building materials, and required standards applicable to the subject area.
  • Advanced abilities with Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management software (Procore or similar), and scheduling software (P6 or similar).
