Speech Pathologist PRN Opportunity

Amedisys is a leading provider of home health, hospice and high-acuity care, dedicated to helping patients and families navigate the complex healthcare system.

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate speech pathologist to join our team in the Denton area. As a PRN speech pathologist, you will work with patients to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders
  • Work with patients to develop and implement individualized treatment plans

Requirements:

  • Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology specific to the state you are assigned to work
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) with completed graduate course work and a clinical practicum at a college or university whose program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA)
  • One (1+) year of experience in speech pathology
