Job Title: Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist

Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a per diem / prn Float Speech Language Pathologist for a per diem / prn job in Fort Worth, Texas.

Job Summary:

This Speech Pathologist will help provide coverage for the Mansfield Multi-specialty Clinic and Urgent Care Center. The staff speech pathologists will have the education, knowledge and skill to provide in-patient and/or out-patient services, focusing on functional skills to enhance development, restore function and to prevent disability from pediatric conditions, illness and injury.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluation, treatment and home programming are provided for children with: feeding and swallowing disorders, articulation, voice, resonance, and fluency, and receptive/expressive language disorders.
  • Aural rehabilitation/auditory verbal therapy for hearing loss or cochlear implant, and evaluation for augmentative communication devices.
  • Patient and caregiver education and consultation to other professionals, clinics and agencies, both within Cook Children's Health Care System and within the community.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in speech/language pathology.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • BLS required.
  • State license or eligible for state licensure.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech/Language Pathology, or eligible for application upon completion of Clinical Fellowship Year and must be obtained within 12 months of hire to maintain employment at Cook.
