Position Summary:
At OnePeak Medical, we are a collective of devoted caregivers committed to providing exceptional healthcare services. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a Healthcare Support Specialist for assigned providers.
- Cross-train to assist in various clinic functions, including laboratory and administrative tasks as needed.
- Help in preparing patients for consultations, ensuring familiarity with the patient intake process.
- Maintain and organize examination and treatment areas, including preparing for medical procedures and assisting providers as necessary.
- Contribute to patient documentation in all aspects.
- Prepare patient records, including integrating external lab results and visit notes from other healthcare providers, ensuring lab reports are ready before upcoming appointments.
- Administer injections and perform blood draws as required, adhering to established protocols.
- Provide patient education at the conclusion of visits, covering topics such as supplement information, new orders, or diagnostic testing. Collaborate with wellness advisors and assist patients with scheduling.
- Respond promptly to patient inquiries through callbacks or patient portals, addressing urgent matters on the same day and non-urgent tasks by the next business day.
- Assist providers with their correspondence and manage prescription refills and faxes efficiently.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the provider or management.
- Exhibit effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills when addressing patient concerns.
- Participate in scheduled departmental staff and clinical meetings.
- Comply with all OnePeak Medical policies and procedures, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Execute all duties within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Practice Management (EPM) systems according to standardized protocols.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as needed to support OnePeak Medical.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent - Required.
- Recent experience as a healthcare support specialist, minimum of 6 months – Required.
- Current BLS and/or CPR/AED Certification – Required.
- Associate degree in a healthcare-related field – Strongly preferred.
- CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) Certification – Strongly preferred.
- CPT (Certified Phlebotomist Technician) Certification – Strongly preferred.
