Job Summary

Fishbeck is seeking a skilled Survey Technician or Surveyor to join our team in Dayton, OH. This individual will be responsible for handling various job responsibilities in the field and office, including construction staking, engineering design surveys, boundary surveys, data collection, GPS, GIS mapping, mobile or terrestrial LiDAR collection, field investigation, field review, and coordination of multiple projects and clients. The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of modern survey methods and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adjust and operate surveying instruments.
  • Compile information necessary to stake projects for construction using engineering plans.
  • Operate computerized data collection.
  • Record survey measurements and descriptive data using notes, drawings, and sketches.
  • Process survey data and create boundary, topographic, right-of-way, and as-built surveys with MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D.


Requirements

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Surveying or Engineering or applicable experience. A valid driver's license is required, and the ability to obtain a Professional Surveyor (PS) license in the future is a plus. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of related surveying experience, with experience in MicroStation Select Series and Open Roads Designer, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and prior work on Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) projects. The candidate must be able to work effectively both independently and as a team member, with attention to detail and deadlines.
