Overnight Security Officer

Work Schedule:
Friday to Monday, 11 PM to 7 AM
Position Summary
In today’s world, both residential and commercial establishments are increasingly focused on maintaining safety and security. Our Planned Security Services (PSS) division is seeking dedicated and professional Private Security Guards to conduct regular patrols and safety inspections, manage gatehouse security, perform mobile patrols, oversee fire watch duties, and monitor control room activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine security and safety patrols of the premises to maintain order and establish a visible security presence.
- Verify and log access credentials for residents, guests, vendors, and deliveries entering the property.
- Ensure that all exits, doors, and windows are secure and operational.
- Monitor surveillance cameras (CCTV) to detect disturbances or illegal activities.
- Respond to, investigate, and evaluate alerts, communications, and alarms.
- Provide security assistance and support to residents, guests, and vendors as needed.
- Report unauthorized individuals, suspicious items, and any unlawful activities to the appropriate authorities.
- Prepare and submit daily surveillance and incident reports to Planned Security Services management.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a New Jersey Security Officer Registration Act (SORA) license and a valid, clean driver’s license.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a security officer or guard role.
- Familiarity with local, regional, and state legal regulations regarding security and public safety.
- Strong surveillance and observational skills.
- Experience with Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) surveillance systems.
- Training in First Aid, Basic Life Support (BLS), and self-defense techniques.
- Proficient report writing and clear verbal communication abilities.
- A High School diploma is mandatory.
