Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Production Assistant

Job Summary:

Hera Technologies, LLC is seeking a highly motivated Shipping & Receiving Production Assistant to join our team in a hands-on, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving multiple projects of varying complexities throughout the entire project life cycle, from raw material to shipping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels, labeling, and organization, including shelf-life items.
  • Ensure the department meets cleanliness standards, with regular audits performed as needed.
  • Assign production department tasks, including self, to meet day-to-day objectives.
  • Meet shipping goals as defined by the Production Manager.
  • Coordinate day-to-day production throughput, including scheduling, planning, and execution of all jobs as defined by customer needs.
  • Provide accurate daily reporting of production status, schedules, updates, and corrections taken to resolve issues.
  • Effectively communicate department metrics using electronic communications boards.
  • Maintain traveler conformance on a day-to-day basis.
  • Develop and measure improvement of key performance indicators: safety, quality, on-time delivery, and efficiency.
  • Manage and properly use JobBoss modules applicable to areas of responsibility.
  • Lead shop floor personnel to meet company goals.
  • Fulfill support activities, such as making parts or other tasks as needed.
  • Be directly involved in continuous improvement planning and implementation.
  • Support 5-S and adhere to health, safety, and environmental company guidelines.
  • Ensure all jobs have been correctly completed through every step of the process, taking action to resolve discrepancies.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of manufacturing production control experience within an aerospace manufacturing job-shop environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and react to project changes.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent PC skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English.
  • Ability to learn to perform cross-functional operations.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of JobBoss ERP software.
  • Production and inventory control experience (expediting and material handling) would be a plus.

Work Environment:

  • The incumbent will spend a portion of the day on their feet and must follow strict safety rules.
  • Loud noise from machinery requires use of hearing protectors.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely lift at least 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to navigate warehouse and use hands and arms to reach, feel, or handle items both high and low.
  • Stand and/or sit for long periods of time.
  • Sit, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include near vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
