Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the sale and delivery of vehicles.
  • Prepares complete sales orders and manages paperwork in line with dealership protocols.
  • Employs dealership sales management and follow-up systems.
  • Participates in product and sales training sessions as directed by the sales manager.
  • Maintains a customer follow-up system that promotes repeat and referral business, enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Addresses the transportation needs of new vehicle buyers.
  • Welcomes and assists customers entering the dealership showroom or sales lot.
  • Guides customers in vehicle selection by asking pertinent questions and attentively listening to their responses.
  • Thoroughly explains product performance, applications, and benefits to potential buyers.
  • Offers test drives to all interested customers, ensuring proper identification is obtained beforehand.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations governing retail automotive sales.
  • Sets personal income objectives that align with dealership productivity standards and formulates strategies to achieve them.
  • Stays informed about new products, features, accessories, and their advantages for customers.
  • Possesses knowledge of equity and values, and can explain depreciation to customers.
  • Ensures the sales manager has the opportunity to meet each customer.
  • Delivers vehicles to customers, ensuring they comprehend the vehicle's operational features, warranty, and associated paperwork.
  • Follows up on all post-delivery tasks, including tag/title work and special requests, to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Reviews and assesses daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly performance to optimize time management and planning.
  • Attends sales meetings regularly.
  • Maintains a professional appearance at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
