POSITION SUMMARY:
The role involves cultivating and overseeing new and existing relationships with commercial clients by effectively cross-selling relevant banking products and services. The individual will manage a portfolio, ensuring that risks are appropriately evaluated and that all activities comply with applicable regulations, laws, and internal policies. Collaboration with various Bank departments is essential for delivering banking solutions through diverse service channels and areas of expertise.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and establish lucrative commercial and industrial banking relationships, focusing on credit and treasury management needs exceeding $500,000 (excluding commercial real estate).
- Support the prospecting of potential clients and engage in crafting innovative solutions tailored to their requirements.
- Assist in structuring and negotiating loan agreements, including terms, pricing, special conditions, and interest rates for commercial accounts.
- Facilitate the loan approval process by preparing documentation and overseeing the closing procedures.
- Manage the portfolio by reviewing financial statements, covenants, borrowing bases, maturing loans, and overdue accounts to ensure proper risk assessment and timely responses.
- Enhance and maintain existing client relationships through diligent monitoring of financial health and risk management to promote profitable account growth.
- Stay informed about banking products and services, as well as industry trends, to effectively address customer needs.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure timely delivery of banking services that support the growth of client relationships.
- Achieve and surpass sales and referral objectives while meeting branch performance targets.
- Adhere to all financial and security regulations and procedures set forth by the bank.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years in commercial banking or equivalent relevant experience.
Licenses/Certifications: None required.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
Additional Requirements: Strong understanding of commercial and industrial banking, lending practices, and compliance with relevant regulations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consultative sales skills. Proven ability in business development, relationship management, and lead generation. Capable of effectively presenting to various stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. Occasional travel may be necessary for meetings and training.
PREFERRED SKILLS: Experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or portfolio management. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and professionalism in communication.
CUSTOMER SERVICE: A strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining confidentiality regarding customer and bank information.
FINANCIAL ACUMEN: In-depth knowledge of commercial banking, economics, accounting, and finance.
WORK AUTONOMY: Ability to analyze data and make informed business decisions.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- Competitive salary range based on experience: $60,000 - $90,000.
