Debris Monitoring Specialist

CDR Maguire Inc., a national engineering and emergency management firm, is seeking a Debris Monitor to work in various debris monitoring positions in South Carolina. This role is responsible for overseeing contractors as they clean up debris and documenting their daily activities. The Debris Monitor will ensure that debris clean-up complies with federal regulations, including those set by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor contractors to ensure compliance with federal regulations and company policies
- Document daily activities, including load tickets, daily reports, and incident reports
- Verify truck capacities and equipment
- Ensure work sites are safe and follow all Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) requirements
- Recognize eligible vs. ineligible debris and ensure debris is not collected from ineligible areas
Requirements:
- Ability to mobilize within 24-48 hours and commit to a minimum 30-day assignment in remote locations
- Ability to work long hours, including 10-12 hour shifts, with overtime pay where applicable
- Ability to travel to different sites around the project area
- Ability to withstand constant exposure to outside elements, including heat or cold
- Ability to work in potentially unstable and risky conditions
