Position Overview:

The Lending Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting Relationship Managers with the processing of consumer and commercial loan applications, while also delivering exceptional customer service to our current clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently identifying customer needs and adeptly referring additional products across various banking services.
  • Prioritizing customer service, treating both clients and colleagues with professionalism, courtesy, and respect.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service by addressing issues and providing accurate, timely information.
  • Gathering necessary documentation for loan processing to facilitate timely closings.
  • Managing loan payments, payoffs, and requested draws.
  • Occasionally following up on overdue loans and resolving technical exceptions promptly.
  • Ordering title work, flood searches, UCC searches, and credit reports, while interpreting the results effectively.
  • Requesting collateral valuations through both internal and external channels.
  • Compiling closed loans to ensure a complete set of documentation and supporting materials.
  • Collaborating with various professionals to assist in document preparation and loan closings (including title companies, attorneys, and environmental agencies).
  • Adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
  • Preparing necessary reports for Relationship Managers and management as needed.
  • Occasionally assisting Customer Service Representatives with the opening and closing of consumer and commercial accounts.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Lending Assistant or in a Customer Service Representative role is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
