Job Title: Titan PULSE Mentor

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Titan PULSE Mentor. As a Titan PULSE Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic success and personal growth of our students.

Job Summary:

The Titan PULSE Mentor will serve as a peer mentor and role model, providing guidance and support to students in achieving their academic and personal goals. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide academic support and guidance to students, including helping them set and achieve academic goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and retention.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure a seamless student experience.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive campus community.
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in six credits or more at Tacoma Community College.
  • In good academic standing with Tacoma Community College.
  • A proactive approach to embracing new challenges, acquiring new skills, and adapting to changes.
  • A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual/multilingual.
Conditions of Employment:
  • Successful completion of a criminal history background check prior to employment.
  • Commitment of 10-17 hours per week.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
