Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team at Zero Impact Energy. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting with various financial tasks, including but not limited to, financial reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Reconciliations: Perform bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of transactions, and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure proper recording of financial transactions.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process accounts payable invoices and payments in a timely manner, and monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain vendor and customer records, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and record journal entries for various financial transactions.
  • Financial Planning: Assist with the maintenance of the general ledger and chart of accounts, and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
  • Internal Audits: Assist with internal and external audits, including providing documentation and explanations as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of relevant GL accounting experience.
  • Skills: Proficient with ERP systems and accounting software, strong analytical skills, and strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Certifications: Advanced and/or specialty degrees/certifications are a plus.

The Financial Analyst will work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data. The ideal candidate will be a team player, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
