EEG Specialist

At Memorial Hermann Health System, we are seeking a skilled EEG Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our neurodiagnostic team, you will be responsible for performing electroencephalograph (EEG) and other neurodiagnostic examinations according to physician's orders under the supervision of the department manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receives and records physician's orders for patient testing, schedules patients, obtains patient medical history, and completes appropriate documentation.
- Prepares patients for procedures, explains the procedure, measures for accurate electrode sites, applies electrodes, and adjusts as necessary.
- Performs electroencephalograph (EEG) exams and may perform other neurodiagnostic exams as directed.
- Maintains equipment and makes minor adjustments as indicated.
- Ensures safe care to patients, staff, and visitors, adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications.
- Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals, and serves as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
- Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences.
Requirements:
- Associates degree, preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Minimum of two (2) years directly related experience or an Associates degree in Neurodiagnostic Technologies.
