Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of allogeneic stem cell transplant procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans for patients undergoing allogeneic stem cell transplants.
  • Serve as a resource and a point of contact for patients, families, and healthcare providers regarding allogeneic stem cell transplant procedures and related care.
  • Assess and evaluate patients' eligibility for allogeneic stem cell transplant, including conducting thorough medical histories and physical examinations.
  • Monitor patients' progress throughout the transplant process, identifying and addressing any complications or adverse reactions promptly.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to established protocols.
  • Educate and support patients and their families on the transplant process, including pre-transplant preparation, post-transplant care, and potential side effects.
  • Collaborate with the research team to collect and analyze data related to allogeneic stem cell transplant procedures, contributing to ongoing research and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in allogeneic stem cell transplantation, attending conferences and participating in professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution. BSN preferred.
  • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in AZ; or willing to obtain.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in stem cell, oncology, hematology or BMT nursing.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in cellular therapy, stem cell transplantation, and related procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record systems and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound clinical judgments.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families during challenging times.
  • Certification in oncology nursing strongly preferred.
