Job Summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Coordinator for Transplant Teams to join our team. As a key member of our transplant team, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of solid organ procurement, working closely with transplant physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

Assess and plan for the correct disposition of organ offers suitable for transplant
Identify, understand, and articulate when organs are not acceptable
Collaborate with Medical and Surgical Directors of organ transplant teams
Interpret and validate laboratory test results
Coordinate care at the time of donor organ offer throughout the immediate pre-transplant process
Perform nursing and administrative duties, including collaboration with on-site Organ Procurement Coordinator

Requirements

Graduate of a Bachelor's degree in a nursing program
Minimum of three years of RN experience, with at least two years of experience as a Transplant or Procurement Coordinator
Strong organizational, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize workload
Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with people at all levels
