We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Nurse Specialist to join our team at Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford, CT. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong nursing skills, emotional intelligence, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
About the Role:
- Assume professional responsibility for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with complex behavioral health needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Administer medications, including psychotropic drugs, and monitor patient responses.
- Conduct intake assessments, gather case histories, and perform ongoing systematic assessments to inform care planning.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure adherence to best practices and policies.
About the Team:
Masonicare Health Center is a 50-bed Behavioral Health Hospital Unit serving patients with complex emotional and mental health needs. Our team of dedicated professionals is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a safe and supportive environment.
About You:
- You hold a current RN or LPN license in the State of Connecticut, in good standing.
- You have a minimum of one year clinical experience, preferably in an acute and/or Behavioral Health capacity.
- You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
