Echocardiographic Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiographic Technologist to join our team at MercyOne Dubuque/Dyersville Medical Center. As an Echocardiographic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Cardiology Department.

The Echocardiographic Technologist will be responsible for performing noninvasive cardiac procedures, including echocardiography, to diagnose and treat patients with cardiac conditions. You will work closely with our team of cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

1. Perform echocardiography procedures to diagnose and treat patients with cardiac conditions.
2. Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
3. Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and answering questions.
4. Collect and analyze data from echocardiography procedures, reporting findings to cardiologists and other healthcare professionals.
5. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest echocardiography techniques and technologies, attending training and education sessions as needed.

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound/Echocardiography Program or equivalent training and clinical experience.
3. Registry required from one of the accredited organizations, such as RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) or RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography).
4. Current BLS verification.
