Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Outpatient Specialist to join our team at Native American Connections. This role is responsible for providing direct client counseling services to individuals and groups participating in our residential program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide substance use counseling to individuals and groups, reviewing assessments and providing referral services as necessary.
  • Document and monitor client records, including demographic data, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Oversee and assist clients with individualized service planning and reviews.
  • Provide culturally sensitive therapy modalities and assist in clinical transition planning.
  • Maintain productivity standards and meet documentation deadlines.
  • Collaborate with referral and stakeholder agencies to ensure coordination of care.
Requirements
  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral health field, or equivalent experience.
  • Licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as a Substance Abuse Counselor, Professional Counselor, Marriage & Family Therapist, or Social Worker.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Experience working with the Native American population is preferred.

  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Preference is given to qualified Native American applicants in accordance with the Indian Preference Act.
