The Sports Betting Associate plays a crucial role in facilitating a seamless and prompt exchange of cash for wagers from patrons.
This position is integral to the Sports Betting operation, responsible for ticket sales and ensuring accurate payout processing.
Key Responsibilities:
Essential functions and tasks must be executed with or without reasonable accommodation.
The Sports Betting Associate delivers swift, courteous, and precise service to patrons.
Processes bets and parlay cards, issuing tickets for all sporting events from guests in a professional and respectful manner, utilizing a race and sports computer system.
Receives sports or parlay tickets from patrons and disburses winnings to those presenting successful tickets and vouchers, employing a race and sports computer system.
Maintains and reconciles a cash drawer for issuing and redeeming tickets and vouchers, adhering to void procedures and cash handling protocols.
Accurately processes transactions and maintains reconciliations.
The Sports Betting Associate must be knowledgeable of all terms and conditions related to sports wagering.
Must possess a comprehensive understanding of all lines and odds within the Sportsbook.
The Sports Betting Associate will meticulously complete all necessary Company, federal, state, tax, and/or gaming regulation records and forms.
The Sports Betting Associate will perform all duties in alignment with established Company, departmental, and regulatory policies and procedures.
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED is required.
Experience in Customer Service is essential.
Prior experience in cash handling is mandatory.
Six (6) months of experience in race and sports wagering is preferred.
A strong background and comprehensive knowledge of the gaming industry and betting processes are advantageous.
Ability to operate the Sportsbook tracking system and Title 31 software system is preferred.
Must be available to work various shifts and flexible hours.
Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
