Job Title: Optics Engineer

Millenniumsoft is seeking an experienced Optics Engineer to join our team. As an Optics Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, operation sequences, and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes for optical components and systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new products
  • Conduct experiments and analyze data to optimize manufacturing processes
  • Develop and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Train and mentor technicians on manufacturing processes and procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Optics, Physics, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with lasers, optics, and optical components
  • Working knowledge of Optical Standards such as MIL-PRF-13830 or ISO 10110
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and 13485 standards

Desirable Qualifications:

  • M.S. degree
  • Proficiency with Pro-E, AutoCAD, Solidworks, MS Project, MS Access, SAP ERP, Visio
  • Experience resolving technical issues involving lasers and optical components
