Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Produce Department Supervisor to join our team at Harris Teeter. As a key member of our produce team, you will be responsible for managing and supervising up to 20 associates in the Produce Department, as well as overseeing the Floral Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise up to 20 associates in the Produce Department, ensuring excellent customer service and a high level of product quality.
  • Oversee the Floral Department, ensuring that all floral products are displayed and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to increase customer satisfaction and sales in the Produce and Floral Departments.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and training to associates to ensure they meet the high standards of Harris Teeter.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to ensure seamless communication and a cohesive store experience.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two to three years of experience in a supervisory role in the produce or floral industry preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions and take initiative when necessary.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time, with frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
