Job Title: Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager - Construction

Job Summary:
A highly-respected contractor in the industry is seeking a skilled Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will assist in the overall management of a project from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate project activities, including planning, organizing, and controlling coordination activities.
  • Negotiate contracts and subcontracts with vendors and suppliers.
  • Provide ongoing communication and information to team members.
  • Ensure job-specific records are maintained and are current.
  • Work with the Project Manager to issue all subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Assist in arranging for and coordinating all requirements for mobilization.
  • Process Change Orders, Proposed Change Orders, submittals, RFI's, transmittals.
  • Ensure project administration meets quality requirements.
  • Work with the Project Manager to ensure coordination drawings are completed as required by the Contract documents and submitted timely.
  • Assist in managing closeout activities, including inspections, punch lists, permits, certificate of occupancy, and archiving of project files.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of Associate's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in construction management.
