**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Lead to join our team at Burlington Community School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the food service operations, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage food service staff and ensure proper training and supervision
  • Oversee the preparation and serving of meals, maintaining proper temperatures and food safety standards
  • Receive and account for all money received daily, prepare money for bank deposit, and maintain records necessary for state and federal regulations
  • Perform general cleaning of kitchen areas, storerooms, and kitchen equipment, and maintain safety regulations at all times
  • Correspond with parents concerning lunch and breakfast programs, and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Class 2, 5.5 hrs./day, 180 days/yr. experience in food service or a related field
  • Ability to lift and carry 10-20 pounds frequently, and possess range of motion and manual dexterity to enable proper completion of job duties
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures while standing and/or walking, and wear uniform and hairnet at all times when cleaning food service areas
