Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Patient Care
- Ensure that all patients receive high-quality care that meets their individual needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote patient recovery and well-being.
- Compliance and Quality
- Ensure that all nursing staff comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care to identify areas for improvement.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that patient needs are met.
- Education
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Licensure
- Currently licensed to practice by the Massachusetts Board of Nursing.
- Experience
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility.
- Skills
- Thorough knowledge of Joint Commission, CMA, HCFA, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
- CPR certification and successful completion of training in CPI within 30 days of employment.
