Subway Restaurant Manager Job Description

As a Subway Restaurant Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our restaurant by focusing on eight main areas:

  • Guest Experience: Provide exceptional service to our customers, ensuring they have a positive experience in our restaurant.
  • Food Preparation: Ensure that high-quality food is prepared and served to our customers.
  • Restaurant Maintenance: Maintain a clean, functional, and beautiful restaurant environment.
  • Inventory and Finance: Manage inventory and financial systems to ensure the restaurant's financial health.
  • Marketing and Community Outreach: Coordinate local marketing initiatives and community outreach programs.
  • Staff Recruitment and Development: Recruit and develop outstanding team members.
  • Safety and Security: Maintain a safe and secure restaurant environment, adhering to local and national health and safety codes.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with the team to achieve common goals.

In addition to these key areas, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Staff Development: Identify and develop outstanding team members.
  • Safety Protocols: Ensure safety and security protocols are followed, including adherence to local and national health and safety codes.
  • Business Analysis: Analyze business records to identify areas for improvement and increase sales.
  • Customer Outreach: Identify and contact prospective customers to promote sales.
  • Marketing Support: Support local and national marketing initiatives.
  • Event Planning: Plan and execute special events and promotions.

PREREQUISITES

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with a college degree preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a restaurant environment, with experience in supervising and training staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deal with all levels of team members.
  • Computer Knowledge: Proficiency in computer systems, including Point of Sale systems and cash registers.

Physical Demands

  • Lifting: Ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with frequent bending.

This is a full-time position with a mix of day, evening, and Saturday shifts, with no Sundays.
