We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Caregiver, Inc. in Camden, TN.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate daily living activities for consumers, including personal hygiene, dining skills, and housekeeping.
- Provide direct support and assistance in training activities, as specified in ISPs and activity schedules.
- Aid in mobility and assist with meal service, promoting social skills and personal dignity.
- Administer medications and treatments according to company policy.
- Ensure the wellbeing of assigned consumers at all times.
- Attend and complete in-service training sessions as scheduled.
- Serve as a role model and mentor to fellow Direct Support Professionals.
- Complete data collection, observation notes, and daily reports as directed by agency policy and procedure.
- A high school education or its equivalent is preferred.
- Some previous experience in supporting/assisting those with disabilities is preferred.
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
