Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Operations and Data Analysis Intern to join our team at BMW Manufacturing Company. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for analyzing and improving our logistics processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of parts to our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze missing parts, internal process errors, and shipping accuracy
  • Develop and implement process improvements, including process mapping and documentation
  • Collaborate with air and sea freight carriers to improve reporting and KPIs
  • Support the launch team in ensuring shared processes are mapped and improvements are documented
  • Analyze and visualize reoccurring issues of missed shipments
  • Monitor issues related to short shipments and parts in backlog
  • Communicate with BMW Consolidated Services to ensure on-time delivery
  • Develop and implement smart container management and KPI dashboards
  • Conduct data analytics and visualization to inform supply chain decisions
  • Support sustainability initiatives, including reduction of CO2 emissions
Requirements
  • Pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field with a 3.4 GPA (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and technical skills, including experience with Power BI, SQL, and Data Lake
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP basics
  • Independent and detail-oriented with effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies
