Job Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance on various facility support equipment, including pumps, motors, fans, piping, and plumbing systems. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical systems, as well as experience with pipe joining processes and welding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, improve, and perform planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance on facility support equipment
  • Inspect and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and high-purity water and chemical systems
  • Rebuild vacuum and fluid pumps, gearboxes, boilers, chillers, fans, air compressors, and other facilities equipment
  • Systematically troubleshoot equipment problems and make necessary repairs using various diagnostic tools and techniques
  • Install, modify, set up, and test complex facility equipment and machinery as requested by production, safety, environmental, engineering, or other facility groups
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical systems
  • Experience with pipe joining processes and welding
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, drawings, and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
