About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Installation Field Service Engineer to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As an Installation Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing and supporting our electron microscopes at customer locations in North America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install electron microscopes at customer locations, ensuring flawless installation and providing world-class support throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with customers to determine their specific needs and requirements, and cultivate and develop positive working relationships with Thermo Fisher Scientific colleagues and customers.
  • Offer and seek technical assistance and guidance throughout the installation and operation process with colleagues and supporting departments.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and resolving any issues in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
  • Proven experience with installing, maintaining, or building up of electron microscopes.
  • Associate's degree in mechatronics, mechanical, electrical, electronic, or any equivalent engineering major strongly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • Willingness to learn and fast-track your installation career.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Eager and quick learner with an enthusiastic and hands-on mentality.
  • Able to obtain a valid passport and travel frequently as required up to 80%.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • IT skills in Microsoft Windows and Office environments.
  • Good English language skills in word and writing.
