Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist healthcare providers in achieving clinic productivity benchmarks by developing efficient patient flow systems that ensure timely processing of patients and prioritization of walk-ins.
  • Lead clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing quality outcomes and meeting established goals.
  • Oversee clinic patient flow, emphasizing productivity, efficiency, and overall patient experience.
  • Support the Clinic Director and Associate Clinic Directors in delivering high-quality care to patients.
  • Collaborate with Medical, Nursing, and Program Leadership to effectively implement and coordinate services while adhering to quality care standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate the orientation and training of nursing staff at the clinic.
  • Assist in developing training programs for nursing personnel, focusing on patient education, skill enhancement, and emergency protocols.
  • Work closely with Charge Nurses to ensure that patients receive timely and effective care.
  • Ensure that nursing staff maintain accurate and complete documentation in patient records and communications.
  • Collaborate with Charge Nurses to verify that emergency equipment and supplies are regularly checked and maintained.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Clinic Director and/or Nursing Director regarding information exchange, problem-solving, and staffing issues.
  • Engage in long-term organizational planning and contribute to strategic initiatives.
  • Foster a supportive environment that encourages professional development and growth among employees.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to Charge and Assistant Charge Nurses.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards (JCAHO, CLIA, DHS – Licensing & Certification, OSHA, etc.).
  • Participate in the orientation and annual performance evaluations of nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement quality improvement concepts, including infection control and patient satisfaction initiatives.

A valid California Driver's License, reliable transportation, and appropriate vehicle insurance are required, with some travel necessary.

Experience in community health clinics, outpatient medical facilities, or hospital settings serving low-income patients is preferred.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
