Clinical Nurse Supervisor

As a Clinical Nurse Supervisor at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), you will play a critical role in managing the delivery of primary care nursing services and patient flow for the primary care site of UCSF Primary Care at Laurel Village. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the delivery of primary care nursing services and patient flow for the primary care site
- Provide and organize clinical support for faculty, residents, and nurse practitioners
- Work as part of the leadership team to identify opportunities for improved practice operations
- Develop, monitor, and maintain systems pertaining to all aspects of nursing care
- Maintain operations and facilities in a state of continuous readiness for regulatory inspections
- Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent combination of experience/training
- Experience as a supervisor, charge nurse, or lead of RNs, LVNs, and MAs or leadership experience leading teams (project team, task force, etc.) in an inpatient or outpatient setting
- Demonstrated skills leading teams or team processes and managing the complex workflow and multiple priorities involved with a clinic(s)/center(s)
- Strong knowledge of ambulatory practice operations
- Demonstrated ability to provide appropriate care based on the needs of a specific individual, including the patient's age: infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
- In-depth knowledge of patient care clinical standards and care delivery, systems, external regulations, and internal policies
- Strong knowledge of human resources management policies, with the ability to train, monitor, evaluate, and document human resources issues and performance, and to participate in decision-making on human resources matters
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to quickly analyze problems, determine appropriate level of intervention, and develop and apply effective solutions
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaborations and problem-solving with all levels of management, staff, consultants, and outside agencies
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to train and mentor subordinates, and to convey complex clinical and technical information in a clear and concise manner
- Strong knowledge of business software and specialized applications and data management systems used in clinic/center patient care
- Prior work experience as a nurse lead or supervisor for at least three years
- Experience working with staff across multiple sites
- Experience working with EPIC EMR
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Clinical Nurse Leader Certificate
- Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
- Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
