Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Woodward Resource Center. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and document healthcare needs using innovative methods such as completing Incident Reports and utilizing the SOAP (Subjective Objective Assessment Plan) charting method.
  • Implement preventative healthcare practices including routine checks, immunizations, and lab orders to ensure the well-being of our individuals.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (IDT) to deliver tailored nursing care and support.
  • Facilitate annual ISP meetings, Monthly Integrated Reviews, and Quarterly Psychiatric Treatment Reviews in the absence of the RN.
  • Ensure accurate medication administration procedures and provide necessary training to new employees on Health and Safety Support Plans.
  • Participate actively in code blue drills and maintain proficiency in Health Care Provider CPR.
  • Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity in all aspects of your work.
Requirements:
  • Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Iowa Board of Nursing or licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact Administrator's Agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
