Job Title: Assistant Professor of Sales and Marketing

Ferris State University is seeking a qualified individual to teach a selection of undergraduate courses in sales and marketing. The ideal candidate should be able to teach a variety of sales-related classes, including Professional Selling, Sales Management, Advanced Selling, and Supply Chain Management, as well as other marketing classes such as Principles of Marketing, Marketing Data Analysis, Sports Marketing, and Digital Marketing.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach four courses per semester, with course topics assigned based on credentials.
  • Employ different teaching methods, including face-to-face, online, and blended strategies.
  • Participate in curriculum development and improvement, assessment of student learning, and service work, including student engagement activities and committees.
  • Engage in scholarly activities and professional development aligned with current and emergent programmatic needs.
  • Advising students, participation in University committees, and keeping regular posted office hours.
Requirements:
  • PhD or DBA in Marketing with an emphasis in sales or a closely related field.
  • Relevant work experience and college-level teaching experience in Sales and Marketing or related areas.
  • Ability to employ different teaching methods and committed to enhancing teaching and engaging in scholarly and professional development activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Alternate modality college-level teaching experience.
  • Industry experience in marketing or a closely related field.
