Job Title: Physician Assistant Rheumatology Specialist

Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Rheumatology team in Boston and Waltham. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our clinical programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including comprehensive physical examinations, coordination of tests and procedures, and implementation of therapy/treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Perform specialized procedures, such as arthrocentesis and intra-articular steroid injections, under the supervision of a collaborating physician.
  • Prescribe medications in compliance with regulations and protocols.
  • Monitor lab results and respond to patient phone calls and messages via the electronic health portal.
  • Participate in Division of Rheumatology educational meetings, including weekly Grand Rounds, and maintain current knowledge and skills in rheumatology.
Requirements:
  • Graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Physician Assistant.
  • 2 years of ambulatory experience as a Physician Assistant, ideally in a rheumatology clinic setting, is preferred but not required.
