Clinical Nurse-MedSurge-ED-Mount Sinai Hospital-FT/Days

The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to a culture of excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care, incorporating the principles of Relationship Centered Care and the nursing process.
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills to manage patient care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care.
- Prioritize patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning after hospital care, and delegate tasks as appropriate.
- Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, and the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team.
- Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing, demonstrating effective allocation of material resources.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN Program.
- Current registration in New York State as a Registered Nurse.
- Relevant clinical competence in the area of nursing practice assigned.
- Certifications: Basic Life Saver (BCLS), NRP, ACLS, PALS.
