We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Executive Director of Academics at ReNEW Schools. This is a full-time opportunity to lead and shape the academic direction of our institution.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive academic strategy to drive student achievement and success
- Collaborate with school leaders to design and deliver high-quality instructional programs
- Lead the development and implementation of curriculum and instructional materials
- Provide coaching and support to teachers to enhance their instructional practices
- Monitor and analyze student performance data to inform instructional decisions
- Develop and manage budgets to support academic programs
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to support academic initiatives
- Stay current on best practices in education and apply knowledge to drive academic excellence
- Master's degree in Education, Curriculum/Instruction, or related field; Doctorate preferred
- Holds or eligible for proper administrative license certification and endorsements in School Administration/Curriculum & Instruction for the State of Indiana
- Broad knowledge of instructional programs and teaching methodologies Pre K-12
- Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience
- Minimum of five years of administrative experience at building/Central office/supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in analysis/interpretation of data systems and development of implementations
- Has evidence of developing/implementing successful interventions and instructional modifications
- Has demonstrated qualities of outstanding leadership
- Possess exemplary communication skills and strong history of problem solving
- Knowledge and experience in Professional Learning Communities
- Experience in acquiring financial support and managing state/federal grants and programs
- Successful educational experience in an urban school environment
- History of developing collaborations/partnerships with community and post-secondary institutions
- Experience in defining standards, aligning curriculum/instruction
- Is current on present educational research, literature, and effective practices
- Success in use of formative and summative assessment measurements
- Possess abilities to supervise and direct people/programs
- Has skills necessary to coordinate procedures to review, select, and evaluate instructional materials
- Experience in establishing goals, objectives, and procedures related to the operation of the curricular instructional program
- Experience in and knowledge of Special Education programs
The successful candidate must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, exhibit manual dexterity, hear and understand speech at normal levels, and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds.
