Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of patient care activities and supportive services under the supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration rates, blood pressure, weight, height, and intake-output measurements.
  • Employ established infection control policies and procedures to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.
  • Assist patients with nutrition and hydration needs, and maintain a clean and orderly patient and work environment.
  • Collaborate with the RN to revise and update the plan of care as problems change or new problems are identified.
  • Document patient information accurately and legibly, and maintain patient records as required.
Requirements
  • Student currently enrolled in an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program.
  • CPR certification required.
