Job Description

Indian Rivers Behavioral Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Crisis Stabilization Unit. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete admission processes for patients, including nursing assessments, medical checklists, and medication administration records.
  • Observe patient behavior, document observations, and interact with patients to determine their needs.
  • Provide direct nursing care, administer medications, and monitor patient responses.
  • Communicate effectively with the treatment team, including RNs, CRNPs, and physicians.
  • Participate in the development of interdisciplinary treatment plans and contribute to the overall success of the team.

Requirements:

  • Current LPN license to practice in the state of Alabama.
  • Experience in mental health settings preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology in psychiatric care required.
  • Familiarity with psycho-pharmacy and the use of psychotropic medications with the adult population preferred.
