POSITION OVERVIEW
Carlson Holdings, Inc. and the Tonkawa family office are in search of a dedicated Investment Analyst to engage in the oversight of Tonkawa-related investment portfolios and the wealth management requirements of our clientele.

This role encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, focusing on the assessment of investment prospects across various asset categories.

The selected candidate will report to the Senior Director of Investments and collaborate with the internal investment team, other departments, external asset managers, and third-party service providers.

PRIMARY DUTIES
- Play a pivotal role in the investment manager due diligence process, which includes sourcing, evaluating potential partnerships, and ongoing assessment of current relationships, with a particular focus on alternative assets (e.g., hedge funds and private equity).
- Re-evaluate existing managers as necessary.
- Communicate insights with the broader investment team and maintain thorough documentation.

- Conduct ad hoc investment research and analysis on capital markets and asset classes.
- Monitor market trends and economic conditions.
- Develop and sustain analytical tools to enhance the team's research and analytical capabilities.
- Acquire proficiency in the firm's investment management software solutions.
- Assist in the creation of investment reports and presentation materials for portfolio communications to committees, Boards, and family stakeholders.
- Oversee trade execution, as well as cash and securities transfers.
- Manage the fund subscription process.
- Provide support to other Tonkawa departments as required.
- Engage in ad hoc projects as opportunities arise.

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline, ideally with a concentration in finance or economics.
- A minimum of four years of relevant professional experience.
- CFA Charterholder (or progress towards certification).
- Comprehensive knowledge of capital markets and investment strategies.
- Experience in research and due diligence, particularly in alternative asset classes is preferred.
- Familiarity with investment performance metrics and calculations.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Technologically proficient.
- Experience with financial/investment-related software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential.
